Chip Definitions
Green (Good Chips) - you want these
- Nearest the Pin: Closest to the hole on Par 3s
- Chip In: Any shot holed from off the green
- 3 Pars in a Row: 3 Gross pars (or better) in a row
- Birdie: Gross 1 under par on any hole
- Eagle: Gross 2 under par on any hole
- 1 Putt: Hole out with one putt on any green
- Longest Drive: On the fairway on Par 5s (or 4’s if you want) Sandy Par: Achieve a gross par from any bunker
Red (Bad Chips) - you don’t want these
- Lost Ball: Unable to find or goes Out of (if your ball hits a tree, goes in the water, then 3 chips would be awarded)
- Hit a Tree: Includes branches, bushes & leave
- Water: When a shot ends up in any water hazard (wet or dray!) 3 Putts: Any 3 shots whilst on a gree
- Lost Temper: Defined by your opponents
- Sand: Your shot finishes in any bunker
- Seven (7): A gross score of Seven (7) on any hole
- Snowman (8): A gross score of Eight (8) on any hole
If a player fails to finish a hole on a Par 4 they are awarded the Seven (7) Chip and on a Par 5 the Eight (8) Chip
